    Hi,
I have a 68L twinfin (from 2009) for heavy wind days and I'm 72kg. The board functions fine in good conditions. However, if the wind drops in the swell (typically if the wind is side-on shore)...

I think a 90L may be quite big for you in the stronger winds. As you still have the 116L, you don't need a board for 4/5 Bft. a 85L or even 80 will give you better control and extend your range a bit...

    Hi Yannick,

If you mostly use it at Dümmer See (on days with stronger wind, I presume) and also in the waves at sea, I would look for a FreestyleWave. Looking at your weight (about the same as...

Agree with HH1, the KT is more side/off shore waveriding focused and would not be my ideal choice, but when it's available for trying, that's always a good idea.

    Hi SurfPaul,

I'm 70kg as well and I surf only in waves. I have 2 boards, a 68L JP twinfin and a 84L Quatro twinfin. I would recommend to take a multifin waveboard in the 85L range with good...

    Hi Lars,
The gap between 4.1 and 5.5 is indeed quite big. Something inbetween would be nice. if you want a bigger sail above your 5.5, a 6.5 would be a good option. My own sailrange is 3.5, 4.0,...

    In addition:
Have a look at the wind range tables of some producers as well, so you get a picture of the overlap. E.g. NP:

    Hi xtom,

I sail smaller sizes in wave conditions: 3.5, 4.0, 4.7, 5.3 and 6.2. The gap between the last two is not too big. There is still good overlap in windrange, meaning that I cam use my 5.3...

I have the same problem. Only solution I've found so far: go surfing much more often, so the zippers get opened and closed more often!
    :-D

    Good luck trying this solution!

I would pick the 90L. Enough volume to get the sail out of the water and better controllability with the smaller sails. I'm 70kg and I sail a 84L twinzer, I still have a 68L as well, but the 84L...

I'm 70Kg, so quite comparable. I used to have a JP RWW 83 and a JP Twinser 68. This year I bought a Quatro Twinser 84. It planes a bit slower than the JP RWW, but it's much more controllable in high...

    Hi,

I have 2009 combat and zones (3.5 4.0 4.7 5.3), which I sail with Gun select RDM masts. That works OK, eventhough NP masts have more flex-top.

    Hi Fundriver,

I always store my sails at the Surfclub on the beach. They are never dry when I roll them. Never had any issues. Ideally they should be stored straight up.

Agree with Tigger1983, the step from 6.7 to 5.3 is quite big, but with the windrange of modern sails it should work. I have a 5.3 NP combat and a 6.2 NP search and there is plenty of overlap: I can...
